About Jac-Cen-Del High School
Jac-Cen-Del is a small high school in southeastern Indiana, hotbed of Hoosier Hysteria. Located in Osgood, JCD has a rich basketball tradition in boy's and girl's basketball. In the old single class system the boys went as far ar the Final 8 in the state and advanced to the Class 1A Final Four in 2000. The ladies finished as state runner-up in 1978. The girls program has a overall record through the end of the 2008-09 season of 431 wins and 289 losses, a .599 winning percentage. The girls have won a total of 14 sectionals (24th in the entire state), the most recent in 2008-09 and 4 regional titles. The school's enrollment ranges from 260-300 students, placing them in class 1A of the IHSAA tournament. Jac-Cen-Del will host Class 1A Girls Sectional #60 for the 2007-2011 seasons.

Coaching Staff

Scott Smith, Head Coach
Coach Smith is a 1983 graduate of JCD and of Northern Kentucky University. He enters his 14th year of coaching at JCD and his 9th as girl's Varsity coach. His teams have won 5 Sectionals, 2 Conference Championship, and 2 County Championship in his eight seasons. He has coached 8th grade boy's basketball, girl's JV basketball, as well as serving as boy's Varsity golf coach. He and his wife, Vickie, have two children. Heather (Huff), a former player and NKU Grad, and Trent,an 8th grade Basketball and baseball at JCD; as well as a grandson, Brody Huff

Assistants

Matt McNew, Asst. & JV Coach

Coach McNew has won the Ripley Co. Tourney as 7th grade coach in 2002-03 and as 8th grade coach in 2004 & 05. Matt is a former JCD player and graduate of Marian College. He and wife Carrie, JCD's Art Teacher, reside in the JCD community. In 2005 they welcomed future JCD player, Mya Elizabeth, and in 2008 future boys team member, Mason.

Chad Pindell, Asst. & 8th Grade Coach

Coach Pindell begins his first of what is hopefully many seasons in JCD basketabll. Chad is a former player at JCD and a member of the 1999-2000 Final Four team. Chad is an elem. teacher at JCD. He and his wife Annette & daughter reside in Napoleon
